Highland Real Estate, Denver
Highland real estate, together with the neighboring West Highland, make up the coveted Denver Highlands area. Highland is a walker's paradise featuring shops, restaurants and more all within a few blocks from residents' homes.
Thanks to redevelopment efforts in the Central Platte Valley in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Highland saw a huge increase in housing prices. The neighborhood became even more accessible to downtown with the construction of the Denver Millennium Bridge over I-25 in 2006.
Preservationists have helped save some of the city's most architecturally-moving communities in the Highland neighborhood, including Potter-Highland Historic District and Stonemans' Row Historic District.
Lower Highlands, known locally as LoHi, offers a mix of high-density condominiums and townhomes aloft many local restaurants, bars and retail stores.
