Rich in History

The city of Littleton's history dates back to the 1859 Pike's Peak Gold Rush, which brought not only gold seekers, but merchants and farmers to the community. Richard Sullivan Little was an engineer from New Hampshire that made his way out west to work on irrigation systems. Little soon decided to settle in the area and brought his wife Angeline out from the East in 1862. The Little's, along with many neighbors, built the Rough and Ready Flour Mill in 1867, which provided a solid economic base in the community. By 1890, the community had grown to 245 people and the residents voted to incorporate the Town of Littleton.

What does this mean? Inventory levels are only slightly less than that of last year, homes are selling 2 days slower, and prices have gone up by approximately $33,453 higher than when compared to the same period of time last year. Denver is experiencing a robust increase in the average price of a home as it truly is a sellers market.

Buyers are more successful when they have an excellent Realtor counseling them with a variety of negotiation strategies to guide them through a multiple offer situation. With interest rates being where they currently are,  Buyers are still offered a great time to purchase.
